If you want to go to the movies there are a few things you have to do before you go anywhere. Depending on the theater you go to, you may have the option to get reserved seating to guarantee a specific set of seats in the theater. This usually only happens on premiere night of a movie and only happens at certain theaters, otherwise, expect to arrive to the theater about 10 minutes early to find good seats. Some theaters offer web services that let you purchase your ticket online and pick it up at the theater to further guarantee seating availability. Expect to pay about $10 for a movie ticket. This price varies depending on the area of the country you're in but $10 is average. After a movie has its run in the big theaters, a few months later it will be shown in smaller budget theaters that often have tickets for as little as $2. If you're willing to wait a few months to see a film you can get some great deals.
